Ryan Martin / 11 years ago
MSI has been showing off a very unique tablet at Computex 2013, that is an AMD “Temash” SoC powered Windows 8 tablet. The reason it is unique is it is one of the first AMD powered tablets using the brand new Temash System On Chips. The AMD A4-1200 “Temash” SoC present in this MSI W20 3M tablet runs at 1GHz on each of the two cores. The display it powers is a 1366 by 768 11.6 inch IPS panel with 10 point touch.
The device features 2GB of low profile DDR3 RAM and a 128GB mSATA SSD for storage purposes. 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and optional LTE provide the wireless connectivity options. Another nifty feature MSI have implemented is finger print log in. The device is charged by USB but MSI didn’t specify battery size or expected battery life. The device measures in at less than 9.9mm thick and weighs less than 750 grams.
Pricing and availability are still TBA.
