MSI have been very busy at Computex showing off numerous products for a wide variety of market segments. But back to the gaming segment we go with their new GS70 stealth gaming notebook. The GS70 is a gaming notebook designed to combat Razer’s Blade lineup. It is based on a 17 inch 1080p display ad weighs in at a reasonable 3.9kg, the relatively light-weight (for a 17 inch gaming notebook) is thanks to the all aluminium chassis.
The big selling point though is the secondary display which is situated on the trackpad. This feature will arrive on the final units but at Computex the display model was a prototype and the touch functionality on the display was non-functional. The reason MSI wants a touch display down here is because the main 1080p display will be non-touch, maybe they also want to cut in on Razer who offer a similar feature on their gaming notebooks.
MSI have stated availability will be in August and the pricing is around the $1700 region. The GS70 Stealth MSI gaming laptop will be Haswell Core i7 powered with the choice of a GTX 770M or GTX 780M GPU as far as the signage suggests.
