Computex: Lian Li Showoff The Uniquely Styled PC-Q30 mITX Chassis
Peter Donnell / 12 years ago
Lian Li are known for doing things a little differently, we’ve already seen some epic workstations, some chassis with a funky carry handle and another with a fold-out design, but this one is truly unique and while I do think it looks cool, I think this one is a bit much for my taste. I could build a great looking system here but I don’t think I would have anywhere in my house to put it, perhaps on a plynth?
The chassis has mITX support, plenty of room for a decent GPU, large CPU cooler and of course some chassis lighting would look pretty epic too, but it’s all really set off by the curved design and front panel window that makes it look like a cross between an executive fish tank and an old CRT monitor.
The motherboard tray is upward facing and while it may look a little scruffy this way it does mean you can get super easy access to all the major ports and it should help with cooling a little too. PSU is mounted down at the bottom and it still supports a full ATX PSU, so you could easily install a competent gaming rig in this case, if you wanted to of course.
