We’ve all seen this happen before, a console gamer says “I’m the best gamer ever at *insert game name*” and then some PC gamer says “yeah we’ll you play with a controller you *rude word* console peasant, you wouldn’t stand a chance with keyboard and mouse” and while I am being a bit vague there, I think you get the idea.
Turns out that one console gamer decided to prove “the masses” wrong after posting on the Overwatch subreddit about his impressive Lucio skills. Many comments later about how he’d never get away with cheap tricks like that on the PC, he went for it, taking up keyboard and mouse and showing them how it’s done.
Having played 6 – 11 hours a day, with nothing but Lucio and his sound blaster wall riding shenanigans, DSPStanky has been climbing the scoreboards steadily, and now ranks in the top 500 as a Grandmaster, impressive!
“making this video was the most damn satisfying thing ever. also sorry it’s hella low res in most spots, I used my twitch footage for all of it, i don’t have those fancy setups like the pro’s do.” – DSPStanky
Despite staring at the floor a lot and using a crazy high DPI level, it seems he’s got a fair bit of skill and to be honest, well done him for showing that gaming skill isn’t just about which format you play on, but rather putting in the hours and the practice, regardless of your peripheral of choice. Rather than fold to the internet bullies, he beat them at their own game. Turns out PC gamers will fall for those tricks after all.
