Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Cooler Master 212 range has always been excellent value for money and the 212 LED is no exception, clocking in at just £31, only a smidge higher than the 212X which is still £30, and a bit more than the older 2012 model, the 212 EVo, which is down to £25.50.

Overview

The Cooler Master 212 LED may not offer anything in the way of innovation, but it’s great to see Cooler Master given their customers exactly what they want. The 212 has long been the popular choice for system builders around the world, and is even regarded with an almost cult status in some parts of the PC community. Year on year, Cooler Master keep things fresh and keep the value for money high, improving cooling performance over the years, adding support for new sockets, making the fan perform quieter, and now adding a little LED flair. Perhaps next year we’ll get an RGB model? Who knows.

Priced at around £30 the 212 LED isn’t going to break the bank, but it will give you a great cooling that can deliver reliable thermal and acoustic performance that’s sure to keep your system running 24/7. The build quality is decent enough that it’ll last you many years, and in terms of aesthetics, it’s pretty good looking too for a budget cooler. Of course, the addition of an LED fan gives it a little aesthetics boost too and that’s something we certainly welcome

If you’re looking for a decent cooler at a fair price, the 212 LED is another welcome addition to the Cooler Master range.

“When it comes to affordable, reliable and trusted cooling solutions, the 212 series has long been at the top of many peoples list. The 212 LED may not innovate, but it manages to keep one of the most popular coolers ever made relevant and a great choice for any system builder.”
