Cooler Master Announces Affordable MH320 Gaming Headset

Cooler Master is beefing up their gaming peripheral line with the announcement of the new MH320 gaming headset. The new name is also a convenient shortening from the original “Master Headset” name which is admittedly a bit wordy. Aside from the truncating the name, the new MH320 gaming headset is also short on price at only £34.99 or $39.99 USD. So it is not only convenient to pronounce, it is also friendly for the wallet. Although it just happens that there already is an MH320 headphone available in the market from CAD audio. This CAD MH320 and Cooler Master’s MH320 are two different products targeting different sub-markets so that should at least put some distinction in the eyes of the buyers.
What Features Do You Get for Only £34.99?
For the £34.99 price tag, users can expect a lightweight closed-back headset with a microphone attached. While it does not have much in terms of aesthetic flare beyond the all-black color, it is nonetheless highly functional and comfortable. It does not skimp on having a metal frame for durability while the inner band is fully padded to sit comfortably with an adjustable length.
The microphone uses a bi-directional capsule that while stereo headset uses 40mm drivers. It uses a standard 3.5mm jack which is compatible with both PC and mobile devices. This also negates any need for drivers or extraneous software. It literally is a plug-and-play unit. The closed-back cup design also makes it a passively noise-cancelling headset. This means it should do a decent job of drowning out crowded areas.
There are some conveniences that are forgone for that price, including cable sleeving, breathable mesh pads, inline controls and a removable microphone. To keep the price low, it is more than understandable on Cooler Master’s part.
