Cooler Master is preparing to release several of their high-end cases showcased at Computex 2017 soon. However, they are also announcing the new MWE Bronze power supply series for mainstream users. As the name suggests, these units are 80-Plus Bronze efficiency certified. Using DC-to-DC toplogy, these units are available from 450W to 750W and rated at higher heat levels of up to 45 degrees Celcius.
“Choice is the vision behind the MWE Bronze series. With the MWE Bronze series, users don’t have to sacrifice silence or reliability when considering a Bronze power supply,” said Ron Classen, Director of Product Marketing for Cooler Master’s Power Solutions Division.
Each power MWE series power supply uses a 120mm CM Silencio fan. This fan series entered the market three years ago as providing silent performance through its swept fan blade design. Inside, it uses LDB bearing for superior life-span over sleeve bearing units.
As for the power supply components itself, Taiwanese capacitors make up the bulk capacitors. Complying with ErP 2013 lot 6, the MWE Bronze units will consume no more than 0.5W when the PC is in standby mode.
Although not a modular unit, all cables have sleeving and the enclosure is compact at only 140mm long. Each unit comes with a 3-year warranty.
