Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige Liquid Cooler Review

Installation of the fans was strange and required an Allen/Hex key which is something you don’t always see. This is quite awkward if you are putting your fans in push as it is difficult to use the hex key when the tubing obstructs it.

With the fans installed the design looks pretty clean and most people can’t really have any complaints here.

The provided anti-vibration fan pads are very thick and easily add another 6mm to the overall dimensions of the product. Cooler Master could of perhaps benefited from having thinner anti-vibration pads as this would give more compatibility.

Installation on our Intel LGA 1155 platform required us to clip on the Intel brackets to the pump, this was a totally simple and tool free process.

Next we inserted the correct mounting stand offs and screws which also required no tools.

On the back you can see clearly that no backplate is needed or used.

Next you add the pump unit, followed by washers and springs. Again no tools needed.

Finally you tighten down the mounting caps over the springs and this can be done with your fingers. You need to hold the stem below the mounting bracket as you finger tighten otherwise this turns continuously and never fully tightens. The installation procedure is complex in that it has lots of parts, isn’t very well documented and takes a while, but it requires no tools and is actually quite effective for a backplate-free design.
