A Closer Look – Interior
Moving on to the interior of the unit, we find a HA1225H12B-z dual ball bearing fan from Ong Hua.
The PSU is built for Cooler Master by CWT and first impressions of the interior are pretty good, it looks neat ad tidy and there’s hope of decent airflow throughout the major components.
The EM/AC line filtering stage is neat and tidy.
There’s a secondary PCB behind it with a few caps to help with voltage regulation to the hard wired cables that are soldered to the main board just behind it.
There’s two main bulk capacitors, each rated up to 85c.
There’s a small PCB at the back for the modular peripheral connectors on the back, not much on it, but doesn’t need to be since it’s only for four connectors.
A couple of passive heat sinks through the middle, nothing fancy, but enough to help keep those caps cool.
There’s quite a mess of wires here, but this is a semi-modular unit so those cables have to go somewhere. That being said, CM has done a good job of keeping them tidy and that shouldn’t cause issues with airflow.
Tucked away under the cables, you’ll find the small two-pin header for the cooling fan.
