A Closer Look

First impressions are pretty good, it’s nothing too crazy, with a relatively standard bezel, and a fixed stand, but when the monitor is a smidge under £100, I think that’s perfectly reasonable.

The screen is well protected when new, with a plastic film protecting the more fragile glossy edges and corners of the panel. The screen also has a decent anti-glare coating too, as you can see, it’s very bright in here, but it’s diffused on the screen surprisingly well.

With all the plastic removed, the top and side bezels are way slimmer than I first though too, and even the bottom bezel is pretty tiny, meaning that the monitor is only a fraction bigger than the 27″ panel its self.

The stand is pretty basic, it just clips into the base of the monitor, but it’s small enough and looks relatively tidy.

There’s a small Cooler Master logo in the middle, again, very understated and simple.

The monitor can be tilted back a little.

And forward to a lesser degree.

Around the back, you can see the stand is fixed, so there’s no height adjustment. However, there’s a VESA mount, so using a monitor arm, custom stand, wall mount, etc, shouldn’t be an issue.

And you still get a more premium thumbstick control for the UI and power button too, I was expecting separate buttons like you usually see on cheaper models, but this is a welcome addition.

There’s some cost saving on the I/O though, with just a single HDMI port, and a VGA, I don’t know who the heck is still using VGA, but whatever, the single HDMI will more than suffice for the majority of users.

And the power supply is built in too, no big external power brick, just a single cable into the back and you’re good to go!
