Cooler Master may be a fairly new player in the monitor market, but they’ve clearly got a handle on things, as the GM27 monitor looks absolutely stunning! The panel dominates the design, as it should, thanks to some exceptionally slim bezels on the sides and top of the monitor.
Even more impressive, is the extremely thin bezel at the bottom, where we often find a much thicker section of the bezel, but here, it’s incredibly slim, so top marks for that alone!
There’s barely anything there and a freaking tiny Cooler Master badge too.
The side profile is very nice too, with a really thin panel overall, albeit, it’s thicker at the bottom, but I like that the bulkier part sits mostly out of sight, and behind the stand.
The result is a monitor that looks slick and clean from the front, the side, and as you can see, even from the back.
On the right side, you’ll find all the usual controls, just within a comfortable reach so you can reach around the back of the monitor and change settings. Not the easiest to use interface, but it’s not something you’ll be using very often.
A small yet tasteful Cooler Master logo is up here.
The stand is mounted with VESA screws, so if you do want to whip that stand off and wall mount it or use any other kind of mount, you can do so very easily.
Not that you would be in a hurry to dismiss this stand though, it looks superb. The back section looks nice and slim but feels surprisingly robust and stable.
The base is the shape of the Cooler Master logo/badge, with the midsection cut out to give it a name framed look. Furthermore, it has built-in RGB lighting.
See, look at that baby shine with colour! A gimmick, for sure, but a good one, I really like how this looks.
The panel looks great, with a good level of anti-glare. However, even if the sun is shining, the easily rotatable and tiltable design means you can get the perfect angle.
You can height adjust it too, of course. However, it’s the built-in portrait mode that I love even more. Just slide the monitor up, spin it around, and you’re good to go. Top marks for design and ergonomics though.
