Did you know Cooler Master makes gaming monitors? I didn’t either until recently, but in fairness, this is a new endeavour for Cooler Master. Even more impressive, it’s been freaking ages since I had a Cooler Master product in the office, just a few days short of two years, in fact, so to kick things off with this beast is quite a treat, and I’m very excited to see what it can do. It certainly seems well equipped though, with a high-end design that’s sure to appeal to the gaming enthusiasts, content creators, and those who dabble with both, of course.
It’s equipped with a QHD (2560×1440) panel, which is a nice sweet spot for productivity and gaming, without the demanding GPU needs and cost of stepping up to 4K. The IPS panel is interesting though, with a fast response time, FreeSync Premium, and a 165Hz Refresh Rate all ensuring a silky smooth experience while gaming. Furthermore, it can deliver 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, which will make your games, movies and anything else you do look great, but also adds to the appeal for content creators.
“The 27″ QHD display with 90% DCI-P3 wide color gamut allows you to focus on your work during the day, while the 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and FreeSync Premium gives you the freedom to play your games without a hitch during the night. Also included is a low blue light mode for when it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some entertainment during the night. For productivity and content creation, QHD resolution offers extra screen-real estate for increased multi-tasking efficiency. Scrubbing timelines in Adobe Premiere or simply doing spreadsheets is easier when you have more screen space to work with. For gaming, QHD resolution with a 27-inch monitor strikes the perfect balance between visual fidelity and high refresh rate gaming.” – Cooler Master
