Cooler Master GM2711S 180Hz Gaming Monitor Review
Peter Donnell / 11 months ago
Cooler Master hasn’t been making monitors for very long, at least not compared to the big display names in the business like ASUS, Samsung, AOC, Philips and a few others, but they’ve very quickly become one of the best and one of my personal favourites. I run four Cooler Master branded monitors in the home and office, and I couldn’t be happier with them. So when I discovered a new one on the way, I couldn’t be happier. The GM2711S features a 27-inch panel with a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution, which is pretty much a sweet spot for size and usability for most users, as you get a good screen size and pixel density, without the panel being so big that it puts the price up too much.
Cooler Master GM2711S
This is one of the first Cooler Master monitors to feature their new A.R.T. Film, which is the “advanced reflectionless technology.” Having seen this already on some other Cooler Master monitors, I know it works really freaking well in reducing glare and making the image pop, so it’s great to see it included here. The monitor also uses the latest Ultra-Speed IPS panels, giving it a 2ms response time (down to 0.5ms in MPRT mode), and the brilliant colours that IPS is known for with DCI-P3 90% (Typ.), Adobe RGB 91%, sRGB 99%, as well as a swift 180Hz refresh rate and Adaptive Sync.
