Cooler Master is embracing the RGB craze and is putting the feature on a new line of hard surface mousepads. The RGB Hard series is the latest addition to Cooler Master’s MasterAccessory line. It features an aluminium bracket and a steel top (hence the “Hard” in the name), while having a silicone mat.
The surface itself just measures 2mm thick, but the aluminium bracket adds 11.53mm, although it is only at the top edge. The actual pad is open and unhindered an all other edges. The surface has texture and is a “control” pad, ideal for precision rather than smooth “speed” surfaces.
Underneath, anti-slip patches on all four corners as well as the center hold the RGB Hard mousepad in place. No matter how hectic the battle gets, expect no spillage as the 350 x 264 mm area is sufficiently large for most scenarios.
The RGB LED lighting is on the surrounding edges which creates a halo effect. There is also a Cooler Master logo on the lower right hand corner which lights up.
Although not officially announced yet, the RGB Hard mousepad is actually available already in North America for $29.99 via NewEgg.com.
