Cooler Master Going All Out With New Chassis Designs

Cooler Master Computex 2018

We’ve seen many incredible chassis from Cooler Master over the years, and the remainder of 2018 and beyond looks no different. The Cosmos C700M looks set to be the next evolution of their mighty Cosmos 1000, and it’ll have the price tag to match.

After 10 years, the Cosmos series is still turning heads. The new one features dual bend tempered glass on the side, a technical achievement in its self!

Aluminium body panels with a stunning cut-out design for airflow, as well as those infamous rails on the top and bottom. Adding to that, you’ll find addressable digital RGB lighting, a rotated motherboard installation, modular… everything, and a price tag of around $399.

We did complain that the black right side panel was… well, ugly, and they’re now thinking of glass on both sides, so you can thank me later for saving this one.

The RGB lighting runs under the chassis, flows up the front, and across the top. Looks good, don’t ya think?

The motherboard is mounted on its side, strange to look at, but it works wonders for the cable routing options and puts the shape of the motherboard in line with the chassis dimensions. The other cool thing is that using a riser cable, the GPU can be mounted towards the front of the chassis, which just looks awesome!

Mastercase H500

Like a local support band trying to follow Pink Floyd, the new Mastercase entry is looking good too. Featuring huge airflow in the front, tempered glass side panels, but unfortunately that plastic front, which I think clashes with the glass too much. Furthermore, that plastic is a dust magnet. Fortunately, black mesh option is included, so make the right call and put the proper panel on if you buy one.

H500M

Similar to the one above, but with a stronger focus on RGB and tempered glass. If anything, this is the premium version of the one above, and it looks amazing. Certainly a bit loud for my taste, but it’s got a place in the market for sure.

Mastercase SL600M

This concept chassis is certainly stunning too, blending silence with high-end performance.

It uses bottom air intakes and exhausts out the top. It’s Basically an aluminium premium model of their 6-series chassis.

It’ll be interesting to see if it makes it to market though, as all that metal isn’t going to come cheap.
