A Closer Look

Upon first impressions, this is a pretty normal-looking monitor. At 27″ it’s a very nice size, striking a good balance between practicality and usability that’ll appeal to your daily work and gaming. Oh, and it’s likely keeping the price down too, as I suspect a future 32″ panel would be more like $1000 or more right now.

It has really slim bezel on the sides and top, but even then, the bottom trim is kept pretty minimal too.

There’s a pretty tiny Cooler Master logo shape here, very small, and unlikely to cause any major distractions.

As you can see, the stand has the same shape as the Cooler Master logo outline, which looks great. The whole thing is nicely weighted too, not overly cumbersome, but it has a weight of quality about it and feels very stable on its stand, which is obviously a good thing. The panel is a little thicker than some standard IPS panels, but I guess that’s to be expected, as it’ll require room for the 576 backlight array, and no doubt a larger heatsink to ensure it doesn’t overheat in more intensely bright HDR usage. It’s not overbearingly thick though, so wall mounting it should still net positive results.

The back of the monitor looks amazing… well, it will when I power it on.

See! A full ring of RGB in the middle, with two lines flying out to the corners. I have my desk against a wall, so this is of little benefit to me, but it’ll look great if you have an open desk layout.

Tucked into the corner, there’s a thumbstick for controlling the UI.

There’s a single DisplayPort and a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports on offer. The display supports Adaptive Sync up to 144Hz, but the full 160Hz with FreeSync and G-Sync. There’s also a USB Type-C Port which can handle PD 90W, DP ALT and USB data.

There’s good ergonomics in the stand too, and you’re able to set the monitor nice and low. You can adjust its height by 110mm.

There’s -5°~+20° of tilt, and ±15° of swivel too, which is more than enough to get a good viewing position.

Plus, it also offers a full portrait mode, which I really appreciate.
