While situated in a room where background noise was kept to a minimum, we placed the sound level meter equal distances from our test system to measure the total noise output by the complete test system for each cooling configuration at 100% fan speed.

The switch from a 2000 RPM Blade Master fan on the Hyper 212 Plus to a 1600 RPM fan on the 212 EVO was definitely a wise decision when comparing the noise output. An incredibly low 42.2 dbA of total system noise output was measured while the 1600 RPM fan was operating at 100% speed. Only Cooler Master’s own silence-orientated Hyper 612S can better the acoustic levels of the Hyper 212 EVO.
