Cooler Master’s Hyper series of CPU coolers are recognised for their no-frills-included philosophy, that gives great performance, low noise and doesn’t even come close to breaking the bank. They offer a practical solution for almost everyone’s needs. Personally I am a great fan of Cooler Master’s Hyper 612S and Hyper 212 Plus, one offers absolute silence with a great price and the other offers brilliant performance for the price.
Today we have with us the Cooler Master Hyper 412 Slim, not Hyper 412S to avoid any confusion. The Hyper 412 Slim has been designed with the principal of offering mid range CPU cooler performance, whilst still maintaining a slim form factor that allows compatibility with lots of tall memory modules. For us this is brilliant news as many of the heat sinks we have tested so far have rendered our tall G.Skill Trident X RAM unusable – mainly because we don’t want to have to remove the tops of the Trident X heat sinks.
The Hyper 412 Slim doesn’t skimp on features, it packs 4 copper heat pipes and dual 120mm slim PWM fans. Plus it continues with the use of the very easy-to-use Cooler Master mounting system which I personally adore, it makes my life very easy when taking the CPU cooler on and off frequently.
