Cooler Master Infinite Evo Notebook Cooler Review

Final ThoughtsFirstly, this is a very well designed and thought out laptop cooler. Cooler Master have clearly invested a lot of time and money into producing this item, it not only looks good but it feels good. For instance, the top of the cooler is designed in such that it effectively gives you a hand-hold, which is perfect for carrying it. The controls are well thought out, giving you the option of adjusting the fan speed is nice, especially if you are worried about noise. That said, I don’t expect it to have much effect at a lower speed. Also including the 3*USB 2.0 ports makes this much more of a useful item and allows you to keep things plugged into the cooler to help turn your laptop into more of a desktop. Or if like me you end up using lots of memory sticks then it works well.

The performance I think was proven on the previous page, unlike most laptop coolers this actually provides a visible level of cooling and when you pick the laptop off the cooler it will genuinely be colder. The cooler also manages the air in such a way that it is moving the hot air away from you meaning it feels a lot cooler when using it on your lap. Certainly could make using a laptop for long periods of time a lot nicer. That said, with the fans on full there is a fair bit of volume, but at least you are getting something for your money, or in this case the noise. It is certainly not loud and your laptop will happily block it out with music playing at a low volume.

This is certainly a very good product and the price point looks just about perfect, I struggled to find much wrong with it.

Pros:

  • Provides really good laptop cooling
  • Designed and built very well
  • Easy to use and sits well on the lap
  • Pretty lightweight
  • Extra USB ports makes it ideal

Cons:

  • Might not fit laptops with the extra cell battery packs
  • Could be quieter
