Cooler Master Introduces MasterBox Lite 5 Chassis
Ron Perillo / 8 years ago
Cooler Master is introducing the MasterBox Lite 5 chassis, a customizable mid-tower case that is affordable. This case is priced at only €49.99, but it comes with an edge-to-edge acrylic side panel and dark mirror front panel. This front panel illuminates nicely when the intake fan installed is LED lit, as demonstrated in the photo below. There are four fan mounting areas available: three at the front and one in the rear. This makes it possible to mount 120mm, 240mm, 280mm or 360mm radiators.
Spacious Interior
The Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 also supports CPU air coolers up to 160mm tall. This means it can fit Cooler Master’s Hyper 212 EVO or the new MasterAir Pro 4 comfortably. Since there is no HDD cage on the way, users can also install graphics cards up to 400mm long. The Radeon R9 Fury for example, can fit inside with room to spare, despite being one of the longest video cards in existence at 307mm long.
The 3.5″ drive storage is located in the PSU cover compartment which extends the entire length of the case. It supports up to two 3.5″ HDD with an additional 2.5″ drive mounting support mounted on the wall towards the front of the motherboard tray.
MasterBox Lite 5 Colour Trims Bundled for Customization
Another unique feature of the MasterBox Lite 5 is the fact that its trim is customizable. The case has a red trim installed out-of-the-box with a white or black alternative bundled. Users can also 3D print their own to match their build colours correctly. The 3D printing schematics for this trim is available for download on the Cooler Master case product page.
