Cooler Master has announced the CK720, a mechanical keyboard designed to be customised with hot-swappable switches.
The CK720 is Cooler Masters’ first mechanical keyboard designed for customisation at an enthusiast level, specially designed for those who build and collect mechanical keyboards. The CK720 has all the hallmarks of endgame-quality keyboards featuring hot-swappable Kailh Box V2 switches providing an enthusiast-level typing feel as well as Cooler Masters’ new pre-lubed stabilizers for smoother feedback and minimal rattle. If all this wasn’t enough cooler master has also included silicone padding for that extra ‘thock’.
See and feel why the keyboard hobby has exploded in recent years with new factory-lubed Kailh Box V2 switches, known for their smoothness and satisfying sound. Don’t be surprised if it becomes the gateway into the world of other switches. In addition, Cooler Master has also added 8 extra CHERRY MX Green switches on the side.
To top off the Kailh Box switches the CK720 features premium PBT doubleshot keycaps. PBT is the more durable cousin to standard ABS keycaps — protected from that unsightly shine from extended use. In addition, Doubleshot construction means the legends are free from wearing off.
The CK720 features a precision dial allowing you to bind it to various controls from adjusting volume, skipping songs and changing the included RGB modes. The precision dial and the RGB per-key backlighting are entirely customisable to your preferences within the Cooler Master MasterPlus+ software.
Launching alongside this keyboard Cooler Master has released a selection of colourful braided coiled USB-C cables coming in Black, White, Blue-Purple, Purple, Cyan and Magenta to add an extra bit of colour to your setup.
The CK720 comes in two colour editions, Space Gray and Silver White. The UK layout will ship with Kailh Box V2 White switches pre-installed and is available now at the following MSRP:
CK720 Hot-Swappable 65% Mechanical Keyboard – £99.99 inc VAT
Coiled Cables – £24.99 inc VAT (UK available colours: Shadow Black, Snow White, Pastel Cyan, Thunderstorm Blue/Purple)
