Cooler Master showed off their early concept for the MasterBox Q300 series as early as Computex 2017 last year. Now it is finally available starting with two versions: the Q300L and the Q300P. Both cases feature differing designs externally, however both have the same internals and feature the familiar modularity like current MasterBox cases.
The Q300L measures 387 x 230 x 378mm and fits micro-ATX as well as mini-ITX boards. The left side panel offers a full-view of the internals, while all the other panels feature a high-airflow mesh design.
Moreover, due to its boxy layout it is also versatile in terms of how to use the case. Users can install the handle attachment to use it as a LAN box for example. Or it could be put on its side like an old-school desktop chassis.
Despite the compact size, there is plenty of room for components. In fact, the front supports a 120mm or 240mm radiator for water-cooling. There is also plenty of room for video cards up to 360mm long and CPU air coolers up to 157mm tall. There is even 28mm of space behind the motherboard tray for cable routing.
The Q300P on the other hand is more colourful and ostentatious than the reserved Q300L. It comes with RGB LEDs and 2x RGB LED fans built-in and has a full-view panel front and top as well.
The chassis is slightly larger due to the extended front and top panels, plus the corner stands at 450 x 230 x 450mm. It also fits micro-ATX or mini-ITX boards with room for two 3.5″ drives and 1x 2.5″ drive. It also has the same radiator support of either 120mm or 240mm at the front.
Another 120mm fan is pre-installed at the rear. However, this is non-LED.
Both cases are extremely affordable, with the Q300L having an MSRP of just $39.99. Meanwhile, the Q300P costs $69.99.
