Cooler Master is announcing the new MasterCase SL600M chassis. What sets the SL600M apart from previous MasterCase products is its use of aluminium paneling. Cooler Master adonized these and gives it a smooth sand-blasted finish. Coupled with a tempered glass panel, the result is a premium look, with unmistakable MasterCase styling.
As with other MasterCase series, the SL600M features a smart modular design. Which means many of its layout can be moved around to accommodate various builds. This even includes a movable PCIe bracket, and storage mount removal. The top panel also moves to allow for further ventilation if necessary. Especially since by design, it has noise-inhibiting panels.
Although the front has no ventilation openings, Cooler Master puts twin 200mm fans at the base, allowing for a chimney effect. The heat escapes at the top while cool air is drawn underneath. These fans are PWM operated and run between 400 to 800 RPM, so they do not generate a lot of noise while pushing plenty of air. Maximum fan support at the top is 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm. The 200mm fans at the bottom can be swapped out with 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm as well.
In terms of component support, there is room for up to four 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives, and four additional 2.5″ drive mounts. Maximum CPU cooler height is 191mm while the maximum GPU length is 318mm.
The Mastercase SL600M has an MSRP of 189.99 GBP inc VAT and will be available by the end of November.
