Cooler Master Launches X Mighty 2000W and 2800W PSUs

Few people have demand for anything more than a 1000W PSU with even the top end systems happily running from a good quality 1000W unit. Sometimes though, people need more which Cooler Master is looking to provide for with their new X Mighty series boasting massive wattages of 2000W and 2800W for those truly pushing the power demands of modern hardware.

Cooler Master X Mighty

The X Mighty Platinum is an enormous power supply capable of handling some of the most power intensive tasks in computing. Both the 2000W and 2800W units boast a platinum efficiency with more than 92% efficiency at typical loads in a 115V test. It achieves this efficiency through the use of an active bridge rectifier equipped with Infineon CoolMOS which conserves electricity and reduces power loss.

It’s fully modular, which can be expected from its premium nature, and it supports ATX 3.1 with two durable 90° 12V-2×6 cables, the upgraded version of 12VHPWR. Keeping this unit cool is an exclusive aluminium thermal mold which is complemented by a silent fan with zero-RPM mode.

Key Features

  • 80 Plus Platinum Efficiency: This unit is certified to achieve more than 92% efficiency at typical loads in a 115 V test.
  • Active bridge rectifier: Bridge diodes have been replaced with an active bridge rectifier to improve performance.
  • ATX 3.1 support & two durable 12V-2×6 cables: Includes ATX 3.1 support and two 90-degree 12+4pin (12V-2×6) PCIe 5.1 cables featuring lower temperatures, enhanced durability, and improved safety.
  • Digital Monitoring with MasterCTRL: Cooler Master’s MasterCTRL software allows users to monitor temperature, current load, and performance metrics.
  • Long-lasting reliability: Built with Infineon industrial-grade IC chips for high quality performance and long-lasting reliability.
