Cooler Master Master Liquid ML240R RGB Cooler Review

Performance
Stock
The stock performance figures in a sentence are exceptionally good. I must confess that while I expected this cooler to perform well, I did not for one moment suspect it would perform this well. A quick glance at the charts clearly shows just how well this did.
In stock levels, the only coolers that we have tested under our new methodology that have beaten this are Eisbaer coolers. That in itself should certainly raise some eyebrows in terms of the performance figures.
Overclocked
When overclocked some mild sanity is restored, but even so, the Cooler Master Master Liquid ML240R RGB still performs remarkably well. With the exception of some slightly lower figures in both terms of the idle and gaming performance, this cooler nearly performs on an overclocking par with the powerhouse Noctua NH-D15S.
This definitely makes this overall in terms of performance one of the best coolers we have ever tested. For many, that will be surprising. It definitely surprised us.
Stock Acoustics
You might at this point be wondering if there is a trade-off for all that performance in terms of noise output. It wouldn’t be an unreasonable assumption. The facts are though that it simply isn’t the case. While the Cooler Master Master Liquid ML240R RGB is clearly not a silent runner, it is still one of the best 240mm coolers we have tested in terms of stock noise levels.
Overclocked Acoustics
In terms of overclocking the Cooler Master Master Liquid ML240R RGB does get a little louder, but we are only looking at a really negligible difference here. With the maximum noise output remaining the game, the only detected noise difference was at idle and gaming and as per the charts, it was very minor. In terms of noise levels, this cooler really hits the mark.
