Today is a big day for Cooler Master, as we’re taking a look at not one, but two of their latest coolers! The new MasterAir Pro 3 and Pro 4 look set to replace some of the long-standing classics that have been a big part of the Cooler Master catalogue, most importantly their 212X series, as these new CPU coolers fit more in line with their updated naming system and design choices.
First, we’ve got the bigger MasterAir Pro 4, which comes equipped with support for just every major socket you can think of, going all the way from 775 to LGA 2011 v3 on Intel, and FM1 to AM4 on AMD. With four direct contact heat pipes and a 120mm PWM MasterFan. Then we have the slightly smaller MasterAir Pro 3, which still comes with the same extensive CPU socket support, but higher system compatibility thanks to its smaller size, three heat pipe design, and 92mm MasterFan.
Continuous Direct Contact Technology 2.0 (CDC)
By compressing heatpipes together there is 45% more surface area on the cooler base which improves heat dissipation compared to previous version (CDC 1.0)
Precise Combination of Air Flow and Heatsink
Stacked fin array ensure least airflow resistance which allows cooler air into the heatsink, the patented X-vents and Air-Guide steer extra ventilation to the hottest spots
Intuitive Fan Bracket Design
Makes upgrading and removing MasterFans a breeze
Installation Made Even Simpler
Choose between the sturdier X-bracket or simply use your fingers to pin your cooler to the motherboard with our push-pin bracket
Cooler Master MasterAir Pro 4
The MasterAir Pro 4 is the new design in air cooling from Cooler Master. The new CDC 2.0 technology increases the surface area of the cooler base by 45%. The MasterAir Pro 4 also comes with the highest quality fans, MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance, making it the quietest choices when it comes to air cooling. And speaking of quiet we also incorporated Anti-Vibration pads into the fan bracket, completely eliminating the metal-on-plastic vibration noise. If you are looking for an air cooler based on performance and silence the MasterAir Pro 4 is for you.
Cooler Master MasterAir Pro 3
The MasterAir Pro 3 is the new design in air cooling from Cooler Master. The new CDC 2.0 technology increases the surface area of the cooler base by 45%. The MasterAir Pro 3 also comes with the highest quality fans, MasterFan Pro 92 Air Pressure, making it the powerful choices when it comes to air cooling. And speaking of quietness we also incorporated Anti-Vibration pads into the fan bracket, completely eliminating the metal-on-plastic vibration noise. If you are looking for an air cooler based on performance and silence with compact size, the MasterAir Pro 3 is for you.
Packaging and Accessories
Both of the coolers come in a durable and compact box, with a clear image of the cooler on the front. All the technical stuff it dotted on the side too, so you can check compatibility if you’re picking one of these up in a retail store.
Both of these coolers have the same mounting kits, with a handy sorting box that houses all the usual nuts and bolts, as well as a tube of thermal paste. There’s a very strong looking X-mount, as well as a universal backplate and extra fan mounts. However, those who want a quick and easy install could always use the Intel push-click mounts too!
