Cooler Master MasterBox 600 Mid-Tower E-ATX Case Review

Complete System

Building a system inside the MasterBox 600 is pretty easy, it’s a big and relatively simple case, and doesn’t really change the winning formula we see in any modern PC case, so I’m fairly sure I could build in here with my eyes closed.

That being said, if this was to be the first PC case you’ve ever used, it’s all straight forward and obvious where everything goes. The cable routing holes mostly plentiful and large, and all in the right places, so keeping your cable routing clean and tidy is as easy as can be. However, I had trouble getting the motherboard CPU cable through the top routing holes, they should be made a little bigger.

Fitting a large motherboard, no problem, and the additional cable routing holes will be very useful if you’re using a motherboard that has lots of connectors for USB, SATA and other peripheral devices.

As for cooling, you’re not short on options. Personally, I think this case is well setup for air cooling right out of the box. With three 140mm fans in the front, it’s pulling in a massive amount of air even with the fans at lower RPM, making it well suited for those building a low-noise system.

However, the front does support large radiators too, so you could put a large cooler here if you would like to. Or you can utilise the top of the case to add more fans for heat extraction, or a larger AIO cooler up here for your CPU.

And of course, there’s a 120mm fan in the back too, and while it is smaller than the front fans, they’re of a similar design and all have ARGB lighting. Because the fans are pre-configured with the internal hub, you can control them all front a single PWM header, and all the ARGB lighting is synced between all the fans, giving you a stunning aesthetic that’s going to really highlight your new gaming PCs best features.

With all the panels back in place, the MasterBox 600 is looking great, and while it may not be as expensive as some of its E-ATX rivals, I think it holds up great!
