Cooler Master Masterbox NR200P V2 PC Case Review

Complete System

Building into the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V2 was simple enough, as it isn’t exactly an innovative or new design, in fact, I feel like I’ve built into this case many times before over the last 20 years or so, as it doesn’t really mess around with what has already proven to be a winning formula.

That being said, it’s a nice case, and being able to get a decently powerful SFX power supply these days is a huge advantage, such as the 1000W units I’ve been reviewing recently, powering a flagship graphics card and any of the most powerful consumer CPUs is now possible, even in a smaller form factor PC case.

One good thing about having the GPU mounted vertically like this is that it acts as a bit of a cable hider, covering up the bulk of the motherboard, you see more GPU and less power connectors and SATA cables, which is great.

There’s a decent amount of room for an air cooler, but keep in mind, anything tall is going to conflict with your graphics card, so a low profile design would certainly be best.

However, there is room for up to a 280mm AIO in the top, and when it comes to getting big performance from a smaller case like this, AIO cooling is going to give you more bang for your buck, even if they can be a bit of a pain to fit into smaller cases, it’s worth it.

Overall though, this is a smart looking case, and with the glass back in place, it’s very presentable, compact and would look great placed up on your desk. I think I would like the white version a little more myself, but the matte grey is certainly good looking too. The optional tempered glass window is a nice addition too, if you want to show off your hardware.
