How Much Does it Cost?

The Cooler Master NR200P V2 is available now from Scan.co.uk for a pretty reasonable £99.98, but at the time of writing was also on sale for just £94.99. However, it is also available as the NR200P V2 MAX configuration, which comes with a 280mm AIO cooler and an 850W Gold SFX PSU included for £299.99. Which is incredible value, as an SFX PSU is at least £125, and an AIO is about £125, so you’re saving at a minimum £50.

Overview

Cooler Master has a long track record in the PC case market, and I’ve been buying and using their cases for around 15 years myself, and I’m rather fond of them. They’ve got a pretty solid reputation too, and like any company that’s put out a few hundred cases, they’ve had a few lacklustre ones, and a few superstars, and while the NR200P isn’t going to set the world on fire with innovation or unique aesthetics, it fits the bill for those wanting a compact, clean and tidy looking PC case for their office, work from home setup, or even those who want a small gaming PC, but don’t want something that looks too gamer and flashy.

It may not be innovative, but it still ticks all the right boxes. The vertical GPU mount allows the case to be slimmer, but still accommodate a pretty hefty triple slot card. Plus, it’s a great way to show off the GPU cooler design through that tempered glass window, and I love seeing the fans spin while I’m gaming. The mesh panel gives you better airflow though, so it’s up to you! The inclusion of a PCIe Gen 4 riser cable is nice too, and obviously, that’s a big part of why the case is £99.99, and the fact that all the panels are tool free is a real time saver.

However, Cooler Master does have some strong competition, with the likes of the Fractal Design Torrent Nano, Thermaltake Tower 200, and Corsair 2000D all costing around £100 for people that want something more outlandish and “gamer”, but as I said, that’s not for everyone, and I’m sure the more understated NR200P is far more appealing to a lot of people and usage scenarios.

The inclusion of a riser cable, metal ventilated panel or tempered glass on the left side, the high ventilation of the right side panel, a PSU pass-through cable, pre-installed 120mm fan in the bottom, really make this a very easy case to work with, and if you’re looking for a tidy little PC case for your office or a space saving gaming rig, it’s a nice little case.
