Cooler Master Masterbox TD500 Mesh V2 Case Review

Cooler Master is one of the most popular brands in the world, with a wide range of PC cases for just about every budget. From affordable, to well… the extremely unaffordable. Either way, there’s a bit of something for everyone, and that’s a good thing! Today, I’ll be taking a look at the Masterbox TD500 Mesh V2, the latest evolution of one of their most popular cases ever! The Masterbox TD500 increases the hardware compatibility, functionality, and usability to create the V2. OK, that’s a lot of buzzwords, but with big sales on the old model, they’ve got plenty of user feedback on what needs to be improved, and it seems they’ve listened.

It comes equipped with that classic polygonal front panel design, which looks fantastic with its fine mesh filtering that looks cool, but it’s also practical too. There are three CF120 ARGB fans included in the case too, providing plenty of airflow, but also adding some visual customisation too. Furthermore, the case is available in a choice of white or black, but honestly, they both look pretty great. There’s all the usual stuff we’ve come to expect from a modern gaming mid-tower too, the RGB of course, a tempered glass side panel window, a PSU shroud, USB Type-C support, and plenty of dust filtering. So, without too much delay, let’s get into it!

Features

  • Polygonal FineMesh Front Panel
  • Three CF120 ARGB Fans Included
  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C Support
  • Tool-Free Crystalline TG Side Panel
  • PSU Shroud With Removable Cover
  • ARGB Controller Included
  • Removable Top Panel
  • Removable HDD cage

What Cooler Master Had to Say

“The TD series has been one of Cooler Master’s most successful case series since launch. Most notable for its unique three dimensional front panel paired with 120mm ARGB fans, TD cases yield an ever-changing light effect that shifts based on the angle viewed. Diamond cut etchings spans across the surface of the tempered glass side panel, enhancing the geometric theme. The TD500 Mesh V2 not only preserves this one-of-a-kind design, but also enhances the chassis’ functional features, including thicker radiator compatibility for unbeatable thermal performance. USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C connectivity has been added to empower lightning fast transfer speeds, as well as repositionable PSU shroud cover so users can freely decide whether they would like to showcase their PSU.” – Cooler Master
