The MasterLiquid Pro 240mm launches today, and you should expect to find it at most major retailers for the MSRP of £94.99. It’s not cheap, but it’s certainly competitive given the acoustic and cooling performance. There is also a 120mm model, priced at the slightly more affordable price of £84.99.

Overview

Cooler Master effectively scrapped their entire product range when they launched their Maker series, and over the last year, they’ve been hitting the market with a complete redesigned range of products that are 100% new, and so far they’ve yet to disappoint us with them. The new cooler is completely different from their old Nepton series, and it’s all the better for it. The old Asatek pump is gone, swapped out for CM’s own design, the fans are new, the radiator is now; you get the idea.

The new pump is certainly interesting in how it works, and the results are there to be seen. It’s much quieter than their old ones, which (sorry CM) were bloody noisy! And while the cooling performance was of this 240mm radiator matched that of the much larger (and louder) 280mm AIO they released from their old range, so that’s obviously a step in the right direction.

The new fans are gorgeous, with a lovely rubber grommet mounting system and stylish thumbscrews that not only reduce vibrations but genuinely add to the aesthetics too. Adding to that, I love the 240mm full radiator grommet that sits between it and the fans, it’s a nice touch and while helping to reduce vibrations, it also keeps the airflow more focused through the radiator.

Overall, this is a great looking cooler with excellent performance to match. It’s not especially cheap, but few 240mm AIO coolers are, and it’s priced around the same area as many competing high-end AIO coolers. If you’re running an overclocked CPU for long periods of time, most likely on a gaming system, then having a big radiator like this than can handle the increased heat and time, it’ll pay for its self, ensuring your system keep ticking over without a hitch.
