The ML120L is off to a solid start here, delivering competitive idle temperatures, and load temperatures that are more than good enough for any system. However, the gaming performance was amazing too, and that’s likely the most you’ll be taxing your cooler on a day-to-day basis.
Once overclocked, the 120mm radiator design is hardly going to topple the larger 240mm models, although it’s very competitive regardless. Clocking in at just 68c under full load on a 5 GHz CPU, which is nothing to complain about.
With a single fan, it’s easy to see why the ML120L is the quietest on our charts. It breezes through this test, and Cooler Masters fans are a significant improvement on some of their models over the last few years.
Even while running on the overclocked tests, the fan was pretty modest with the noise. Obviously, there are no significant issues and the pump was virtually silent too. Overall, well-done Cooler Master, you’ve knocked it out of the park with this one.
