Cooler Master MasterWatt PSU Series Now Available in UK
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
In celebration of their 25th year anniversary, Cooler Master is announcing the launch of their latest MasterWatt PSU series in the UK. These are all 80-Plus Bronze certified units, ideal for mainstream bang-for-buck system builds. Each use a double-forward/DC-to-DC design and succeeds Cooler Master’s previous GM series power supply line.
Community Feedback Design
Cooler Master took suggestions from the community on what would make for a good mainstream PSU. From this data, the cables on the new line get longer revisions for superior cable management. Unlike the GM series PSU, the new MasterWatt Bronze line offer 14% longer cables on average. Which makes it easy to use even on full-tower cases for cable routing. The 650W and 750W versions are also semi-modular, so there are less cables to contend with.
These cables are also 16AWG which are thicker than the 18AWG wires on average mainstream units. This provides a higher max amperage advantage of 10A versus 6.4A.
The noise levels are kept lower in comparison to most mainstream fans since it is using a CM Silencio fan for active cooling. The fans themselves do not initiate until after 15% load. This keeps the system as quiet as possible during idle times.
