There is certainly no shortage of gaming headsets on the market these days. However, there’s certainly always room for one more! The new MH751 from Cooler Master may not have the most memorable product name, but it’s ticking all the right boxes when it comes to features. It comes with support for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, as well as mobile devices. Rather than have a half dozen headsets kicking around, you only need one, regardless of where you’re gaming; be that on the couch or on the go!

The multi-format support is obviously the big selling point here. However, jack of all, master of none, doesn’t apply. It’s equipped with powerful 40mm Neodymium drivers, soft leatherette ear padding, a good quality Omni-directional boom microphone, and more. At £74.99 it’s not overly cheap, but it’s not stupidly expensive either, and the feature set is pretty robust for that price range. There is a higher-end MH751, which has both 3.5mm and USB connectivity with virtual 7.1 too. However, that model is priced at £94.99. What’s in the Box?

The headset comes packaged in a very robust box, with thick padding. You could confidently give this box a good kicking and the headset should be fine. Not that you would, but it’ll withstand a rough time in the hand of a courier, so that’s something.

In the box, you’ll find the headset (obviously!), a detachable boom microphone, and two cables.

The first cable is a longer 4-pole 3.5mm cable with an in-line controller for volume and microphone muting. This is your main cable, it’ll work with console controllers, mobile devices, etc. However, for PC use where you want to use both the microphone and headphones, you’ll need the additional Y-split cable.

The microphone is nice and durable, with a large filtered head, flexible boom, and a durable 3.5mm mount.
