Final Thoughts

Price

As one of the flagship keyboards of the Cooler Master range, the MK750 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard does come at a premium. However, it’s still comparably priced to other competing high-end models. The keyboard hits most major retailers today, and you can expect an MSRP of £149.99/$159.99/€159,99.

Overview

The latest keyboard from Cooler Master is easily one of my favourites of the year so far. It’s packed full of features but has been built with a focus on simplicity. So many gaming peripherals are relying on increasingly complex desktop software to tweak lighting, macros, and much more. As some of you will know, eSports tournaments typically don’t allow software to be used, making it difficult to change macros and profiles. Of course, not everyone wants lots of software running on their system that they could otherwise do without, and having everything built into the MK750 makes it quicker to set up, with no additional system overhead.

Customisation

There’s so much to do on this keyboard, but it’s still beginner friendly too. You can plug and play, and never use the built-in features. However, you can spend hours tinkering with the lighting on every switch, program custom macros, set their repeat rates, speed, and so much more. You can control your multimedia with the dedicated buttons too. You can also add ambient light to the side light bars. Then you can attach or detach the wrist rest in a second thanks to the magnetic fitting. Finally, you can customise the keycaps with those neat purple ones that are included in the box.

Performance

Pick up a Cherry MX keyboard, hit the keys, they’re all about the same. However, the durable chassis construction and hard-wearing rubber grips do mean the MK750 feels robust and planted, even when you’re rage mashing into team chat. There’s no noticeable flex; it doesn’t clunk or rattle, and overall feels well made. This makes it a joy to type on, and it’s certainly a reliable feeling keyboard that’s going to see you through many online games, or even just a long day typing in the office. It’s certainly gotten me through both of those this last week.

Should I Buy One?

I won’t beat around the bush; it’s not a cheap keyboard. The only reason someone wouldn’t want this keyboard is their budget. However, it’s otherwise one of the best on the market today, and it certainly has every feature you could ask for from a high-end mechanical gaming keyboard. I can’t think of a single thing I would need to add or change. Great job Cooler Master!
