A Closer Look & Performance

The Cooler Master MM310 is a great-looking mouse, the moment I took it out of the box, I just loved the aesthetics of it. It’s hard-wired, with this soft-sleeved white cable. The cable is very flexible and very lightweight too, so it’s unlikely to be a burden while you’re gaming. Plus, it looks great in white but may prove tricky to keep clean.

I love little details like this too, and a custom USB header with the Cooler Master logo is a great one.

Plus, it has that classic Cooler Master purple inside. Keep in mind the price of this mouse is low, so seeing premium-level attention to detail is a surprise.

the mouse itself looks stunning. It features a two-tone design, with a paper white top panel and a flat grey lower section that provides a stylish contrast.

Down the left side, there are two navigation switches, pretty standard stuff really. However, there is a deep recess on the side, allowing for a good grip point. Plus, the buttons are ergonomically shaped, making them very easy to actuate with a light press or slide of your thumb.

It’s actually a pretty classic design, perhaps closer to the classic Intellimouse design, so it’s very comfortable to hold in your hand. It’s a shape that’s going to work well with a claw/fingertip grip but the swell of the body and length of the mouse means it’ll fit a full palm grip comfortably too.

Another small detail I love is that even with the RGB off, the Cooler Master logo on the back matches the grey-and-white aesthetic of the mouse. However, as you’ll see in a moment, it lights up for added customisation.

Down the right side, more deep curves allow you to get a really firm grip on the mouse. Well, I say firm grip, the mouse is so lightweight that just a gentle pinch with your fingertips is enough to hold it steady and lift it up off the desk.

The LBM and RMB are scooped out too, with some raised wing-like creases on the outer edges. Not only does this look really cool, but it also allows your fingers to easily and naturally find the sweet spot for the switches, ensuring much better click performance.

The mouse wheel is heavily recessed, and it’s a good size too. It’s very light and fast to turn too, with only a mild tactile bump while you rotate it. I’d like a more prominent click while pressing it down, but its fast and light action is good for CS:GO as a quick jump button.

I adore the texture too, it’s very subtle, with an eggshell finish that gives it a premium look and feel that’s good enough to make Patrick Bateman twitch.

The underside of the mouse features three good-size Teflon pads, and they’re super slippy too. Not that it’s really needed though, the mouse is so light, it’d glide on its plastic belly.

That being said, it’s superbly nimble, and if you like high DPI tiny, twitchy, fast and nimble gameplay techniques, it’s going to slay.

The mouse has a nice enough click on it, perhaps there’s room for improvement, it’s not completely right and tight, but for a 30-quid mouse? I’d say it’s pretty fantastic.

Cooler Master could get the top panel tensioned down a little, there’s the tiniest amount of travel before it actuates the switch. Would most people notice this? Likely not, but a more premium actuation and mount would no doubt mean a more expensive product overall.

Overall, this mouse is pretty fantastic. It’s not an overly hardcore eSports mouse or anything, but the sensor is strong, the weight is light, and the design is very comfortable, so it’s certainly not far off it!
