Cooler Master MM310 RGB Lightweight Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?
The Cooler Master MM310 RGB Lightweight Gaming Mouse is available now from many major retailers, and as I’ve said already in this review, the price is extremely friendly to your bank balance. You can get it on Amazon here, and it’s available in either black or the even better-looking (in my opinion) white and grey version which I reviewed today.
Overview
I will get straight to it, there are better mice on the market, and quite simply, they just cost more money. But dropping £50-70 on a eSports tuned ultralight gaming mouse isn’t going to appeal to everyone’s needs, and more so, their bank balances. So given that I can get this mouse for £30-35 at most retailers certainly adds to its appeal, as it gives you most of the thrills and features of a mouse twice its price.
Old Vs New
I’m staggered at how far budget models have moved on too. I was looking at some of our reviews from ten years ago, when the Cooler Master CM Storm was the same price as the MM310, with an Avago 4000 DPI sensor that’s almost laughable compared to the 12,000 DPI pixel-perfect hardware featured in the Cooler Master MM310. The weight is significantly lower, the buttons are better, and the materials are significantly better too. Plus, for a budget mouse, it’s got some really nicely designed RGB lighting too, which is a welcome bonus.
Premium Features Bargain Prices
The little details add up fast though. The eggshell-like texture of the plastics gives it a premium look and feel. The hard-wearing lower section provides added grip. There are high-quality Teflon pads on the bottom providing superb glide. The cable is Cooler Masters’ own Ultraweave design, it looks and feels great, has lots of flex and is super lightweight too. Even the USB header is custom designed. There’s a killer sensor built-in, and with their software suite, you can fully remap the mouse, change the RGB, apply macros and more.
Should I Buy One?
This is a high-end gaming mouse in almost every regard. About the only room for improvement would be tighter and most positive mounting on the LMB and RMB, and a more refined scroll wheel. However, at this price range, you’ll be hard-pushed to find anything that beats it, it’s stylish, comfortable, light, accurate, and very reasonably priced.
