Final Thoughts
Price
The Cooler Master MM520 is available from today from most major retailers, both online and in-store. It’s priced at an extremely reasonable £34.99, which I think is value that’s going to be hard to beat. The MM520 is packed with features and even comes with a 2-year warranty.
Overview
Cooler Master has knocked it out of the park with their latest gaming mouse. It’s nothing crazy or innovative, but it takes what we’ve seen from their previous products, fine-tunes them, presents them well and at a price that’s got broad appeal. Over the years, I’ve tested mice with fewer features, similar performance and much bigger price tag that I thought were fantastic. Of course, that only paints the MM520 in an even better light.
To Game Or Not To Game
I do more work these days than I do gaming. Sure, I squeeze in an hour or two on an evening on my favorites, such as my addition to Elder Scrolls Online at the moment. Therefore, I need a mouse that’s as adept in the office as it is for gaming, and the MM520 certainly delivers on both front. The flawless sensor is great for Photoshop as much as it is for Overwatch. Add to that the fully programmable buttons and macros, and I can deploy Adobe scripts as fast as I can cast strings of magic spells in ESO.
Ergonomics
I love a wider mouse, as I have quite large hands. The wider design of the MM520 means I can really cup my hand over the mouse and not have my fingers curled up on the side or dragging on the desk. The use of PBT plastics gives the mouse a rigid and lightweight feel too. The lightly textured design is comfortable to hold, and slip-resistant too. Even more so, the mouse’s lightweight design makes it glide likes it’s on ice, making it fast and nimble to control
Should I Buy One?
If you’re looking for one of the best gaming mice and don’t want to spend a small fortune, the MM520 is amazing value for money. It can easily compete with much more expensive mice in terms of sensor performance, features, RGB lighting and more.
