Cooler Master Nepton 240M AIO CPU Cooler Review

Performance

Cooler Master have set out to create an AIO cooling solution that’s quiet, performs well and is easy to use. So far they have made sure that it’s easy to use and install but here is where we get down to business with the temperatures and decibel readings. When our CPU was at stock, temperatures were excellent with delta load temps at a measly 22 degrees and delta idle temps at 4 degrees. This puts the Nepton 240M firmly towards the top of our results tables, fighting off some stiff competition.

The same can be seen when we overclocked our CPU, although it does drop behind some of the competition it previously fought off but it still does very well with delta load temps of just 38 degrees. This is very good as our processor does get a little toasty at 4.5ghz.

When it comes to the noise levels of the cooler, it again does very well, at stock it comes top of our table. It’s unbelievably quiet, there is a gentle purr from the pump but when in a case rather than on a test bench I imagine that it would be almost silent.

When overclocked, the fans have to do a little bit more work which results in more noise. This is to be expected, but it does mean that the Nepton 240M does drop down the table a little. Still the results are very good with a reading of only 42 Db when under full load at 4.5ghz.
