Cooler Master Reveal Latest Peripherals at Computex 2019

Cooler Master

We’ve got a bunch of lovely new peripherals on show here at Computex 2019 from Cooler Master. Firstly, their revised low-profile keyboards. This one is the SK851, which comes in grey/black or silver/white. They both feature a full-size design, but most importantly, are the switches.

The keyboards use the new Omron B3KL 7.4mm Low-Profile switches, making them even slimmer than last years SK600 keyboards. Not only that, but they’re Bluetooth, so they’re slim, low, comfortable and complete wire free. Look at the SK6xx series below, they look chunky now in comparison.

The switch is very strange to look at though. It is mechanical, but it’s about half the travel of the Cherry equivalent MX Speed. They have a nice feel to them too, kid of like a chiclet-style switch, but with a much more linear and balanced actuation.

Headsets

The new headsets are looking pretty sharp too. I really like the SH650, it’s a nice mid range headset, with a stylish design. Well, they all look similar, but will scale in price based on their respective features. The hidden star here, however, is the headset stand. The MM831 features built-in RGB lighting, connectivity, and Qi charging. That means you can drop your phone on there and charge it at your desktop cable free. Well, if your phone has Qi charging of course.

MM710

This mouse looks pretty strange, I know, but when they say it is light, they really mean it. A slight breeze would have this thing flying across your desk (not really). It’s just 55 grams or about HALF the weight of most lightweight gaming mice. It’s unique design also means that your hand doesn’t get sweaty while gaming. If you get sweaty palms while gaming, you’ll know the advantage here right away. Plus, it’s ambidextrous AND has a 32K DPI optical sensor. I can’t wait to get this one in the office.

It should come as no surprise that they have more than one Qi charging product. Their new Qi mouse is truly cord free, lag free and runs on either 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth 4.0. This one also has their fantastic new 32K DPI optical sensor. I really want to get that sensor on our gaming setup for some serious testing.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
