First impressions are good, with obviously perfect black levels thanks to the OLED panel technology, and overall good clarity courtesy of the resolution. I do think the Pixel Orbiting can be a tiny distraction if you’re sitting reading or editing detailed work, however, this is unnoticeable with watching videos or gaming.
27″ panels at this resolution are great for general workflow, as you can fit multiple windows on screen and retain clarity even with smaller text.
Colours look very rich and vibrant, and generally, OLED displays are fantastic for media consumption, and with HDR on top, it looks even better!
Just remember to set HDR in Windows when using HDR content, but otherwise turn it off, as Windows 11 still handles HDR poorly for SDR content.
Black levels are absolutely black, with no glowing on bright sharp details.
Thanks to the extensive colour reproduction and 10-bit panel, there’s absolutely no colour banding.
HDR content is obviously near impossible to capture correctly, but the clouds were bright yet detailed, even if they look blown out in my photo.
Motion handling is flawless, and with a 0.03ms response time, input latency feels essentially instantaneous. Even coming from a 1ms panel, you can feel the sharpness of input to action here.
I cranked the saturation in Tekken 8 and it really demonstrates the vibrancy and depth of colour this panel can do, even if it does look a bit silly here.
Overall though, the benefits of OLED are clear to see.
When it comes to editing work, the monitor is OK, but I do feel the peak brightness isn’t brilliant in SDR mode, capping at around 250 nits, but nearly double that for HDR content. It’s also going to suffer from elements being dimmed by the light control to prevent burn-in, which can make static elements inconsistent for daily work, but isn’t noticeable while gaming.
Ignore the fail message here, it was running fine, I swear! As you can see, at 240Hz, the image is pretty clear, with ghosting increasing on the 120 and 60 FPS tests, but overall, I really felt the monitor responded cleanly in all real-world gaming tests at multiple refresh rates.
