Cooler Master Turbine Master Mach 0.8 Fan Review

Test Setup
I will be comparing the fan directly to the Yate Loon D12SH12, which doesn’t really sound like a fair test as the Yate Loon is one of the top performing case fans around, however it is a noisy one so if the Coolermaster Turbine Master Mach 0.8 can keep temperatures at a reasonable level I’d say it’s job done.

I will be putting this fan on my Custom Lian Li v1200 case which has two holes cut out on the top where two other Yate Loons live (for my previous water setup) and standard Corsair fans on the H70 which sits at the back of the case. I decided to put the Coolermaster fan at the front of my case, providing air for my 5xHHDs and PSU.

The test system used comprises of:

For this test I will be measuring the temperature of my 5 HDDs and also the temperature of my CPU to see if the fan had any adverse effect on overall system temperature.

I took a temperature reading after 30 minutes of the PC being idle, and then another reading after Prime 95 had been running for 30 minutes. Once this was complete, I installed the new fan and repeated the process.
