Power Supply Unit
The V1200 Platinum series uses similar styling to the V Gold series from Cooler Master and also their older Silent Pro Hybrid series of PSUs. The main aesthetic feature is some brushed aluminium to contrast with the black textured powder coat of the PSU enclosure.
Both sides of the V1200 Platinum feature the same Cooler Master branding in reverse orientations depending on which way you like to mount your power supply: fan facing up or fan facing down.
On the base of the unit Cooler Master have placed the primary label which details specifications, certifications and safety instructions.
At the modular end we find all of the relevant connections which are clearly labelled. There’s also a connector for the hybrid fan PCI bracket so you can switch the operational modes.
The rear of the unit is simple with a large power switch, a kettle lead input and plenty of hexagonal mesh ventilation to keep things running cool.
Cabling
Cooler Master provide a 24 pin motherboard connector, 9 molex connections, one floppy and 12 SATA.
Furthermore there are also a staggering 12 PCIe 6+2 pin connections spread across six cables and two 8 pin EPS connections across two cables.
