Cooler Master V750 Gold V2 White Edition PSU Review

Over Power Protection and Max Wattage

While power supplies will always have a rated wattage output, it’s never usual to see them being capable of going beyond them. Specifically, just in case a little extra power is necessary. While this should, of course, not be relied upon, if you do go a little overboard in that regard, it’s also important to know that the OPPs work correctly to shut everything down before the risk of damage starts entering the equastion.

In regards to the Cooler Master V750 Gold V2 White Edition, however, achieving around 62% over it’s rated value is exceptionally impressive and, just in case it needed to be said, we can confirm that the OPPs worked perfectly to ensure this safely shut down.

To reinforce that fact, let’s just say it one more time – 1142 watts before the OPP kicked in, and this is only rated to 750.
