Temperatures
Measuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the system using HWMonitor over a 15 minute period. Once this has been recorded, we load the system using various software for 15 minutes and record the results again.

We used a Hexacore processor for our tests and thought it would be interesting to see if any of the cores differ between one another. The temperatures on idle were consistent and all fell well below what we expected at around 30 degrees. Instead we were given mighty low reslts at 27/28 degrees and an astonishing 53 degrees on load which is fantastic considering the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T isn’t the lowest powered CPU on the market.

Adjusting the fan to high speed kicked this cooler into overdrive, sadly not on the idle temperatures but on the load by giving 26-27 degrees on idle and a nice and cool 48 degrees load.
