CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler Review

Conclusion
When we conducted our tests on this cooler and its competition, we were expecting some very good results, especially when pitted against some similar coolers. We were very pleased when our predictions came true and gave us some outstanding temperatures in both idle and load tests, using the same testing conditions as we always do.

As said, we can assume that most of the increased cooling performance is down to the 120mm fan, but of course other factors have to be taken in too including the materials of the cooler, the fan design, the weight, and dimensions which will all be major factors in giving the best possible results.

For a consumer wanting the best bang for buck and giving fantastic performance over the competition for a VERY reasonable price, it would be silly not to take a look at the Hyper 212 Plus.

With this cooler, you also have the ability to add a second fan for a push/pull configuration and with CoolerMaster also making fantastic fans, for an extra few quid, you will get even better performance and all of the brackets to fit an extra fan also come pre-supplied with the cooler making this product very versatile.

Pros:

  • Excellent cooling, especially at this price-point
  • Capacity for a second fan
  • Great compatibility
  • Reasonably good-looking
  • Amazing value

Cons:

  • Fairly heavy, a little tricky to install

Ratings:

  • Design – 8
  • Features – 9
  • Performance – 9
  • Value – 10
  • Overall – 9

What kind of temps are you getting from it with push/pull?
