Building a system inside the MasterBox 5 couldn’t have been easier, as there is just so much room to work with on the interior. Even if we did run into any compatibility issues, which we didn’t, the movable hard drive bays would have easily fixed up those problems in a flash.

The PSU shroud may be pretty basic, but it’s easily one of my favorite additions to this chassis, and as you can see, it’s doing a fantastic job of hiding excess cables and those ugly connectors, giving us a clean-looking final build.

The hard drive bays are doing their job just fine, and as we said before if you needed to move it, just spin that thumb screw and you can remove them completely, or move them further left to get a larger radiator on the front panel; nice and simple.

There’s a small routing hole on the PSU shroud, which we used for the GPU cable, as well as the front panel headers, keeping things looking smart with minimal cable trail.

The Sapphire 270X is hardly small, but it fit with ease here, and there’s obviously room for more than one GPU here.

CPU cooler clearance is excellent, so many large coolers will fit with ease, as will thick 120mm AIO coolers on the rear fan mount. It’s a shame there are no top fan/radiator mounts, but with all that room in the front, they’re not really needed for a chassis of this value.

The movable 2.5″ drive bay is really handy, even more so if you’re completely removing the 3.5″ drive bays. It’s unlikely that anyone shopping for a chassis in this price range will need many hard drive bays, so the small amount of bays provided is certainly appropriate. Those bay cut-outs double up as handy cable routing holes too.

There’s a laughable amount of room here, long GPUs are really not going to be an issue, in fact, the chassis could be shorter and still have plenty to offer.

Cable routing is superb here, there’s a lot of room behind the motherboard and those cable tie loops really help you keep things neat and tidy; very impressive for a more budget focused product.

With everything in place, there’s only one more part left to install; that lovely side panel window.

With neat and tidy cable routing, that handy PSU shroud and a nice and large window, this is a great chassis for showing off your new build, and anyone would be proud to have this up on their desk where everyone can see it.
