Coolermaster N200 M-ATX Chassis Review

Coolermaster has really out done themselves here, I am simply stunned by how many features they’ve fitted into this chassis. On one side I’m impressed that they’ve fitted all these features into such a compact design but also that they’ crammed all these features into such a wallet friendly product, but to top it all off, it actually looks pretty cool too! Now it may not be the prettiest chassis in the world I’ll admit that but it’s far from ugly too and when you start shopping through other chassis within this price range, the N200 is quite the looker.

So lets see, if I had installed a standard air cooler or 120mm H80i in this chassis I could still have crammed 3 x 3.5″ & 4 x 2.5″ hard drives, an optical drive or similar 5.25″ device, two long graphics cards, an M-ATX motherboard, 120mm fan in the top, 2 x 120mm fan on the front and still had the comforts of both cable management around the back and a slide out air filter for the PSU, for £35!

When it comes to a high end build you can get some pretty damn impressive M-ATX and M-ITX motherboards these days and with impressive radiator support and still room for a couple of 2.5″ drives it’s easy to get some serious performance in this chassis. Build quality is nothing short of fantastic and there are no bad cut edges, the paint job is nicely done, the choice of plastics used all look good, the front panel is stylish and well… what more could you want really given the price and the size?

If I have one fault with this chassis it is the single USB 3.0 port on the front, it could have easily been two and I really am just clutching at straws here. Coolermaster walks away with our innovation award for the N200 because I have yet to see anything else that does such a great compact solution for such a small amount of money.

Pros

  • Cable management
  • Plenty of room for storage
  • Great cooling potential
  • Stylish
  • Good build quality

Cons

  • None, maybe the USB port issue, but again, that’s just being picky given the products price.

eTeknix says: “There is only one thing I need to say about this chassis “it is epic”. There are more features crammed into this small box than you would expect for this price range and the N200 easily completes with some products that often cost nearly twice as much.”
