Coolermaster N400 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

The left side of the chassis features a fairly unremarkable panel with space to install an optional 120mm or 140mm side panel fan. The panel is held in place by quick release thumb screws for easy access.
The right side panel features a double height fan grill that is fitted with an internal dust filter, this provides ventilation for the right side panel cooling mounts which we will take a closer look at shortly.
The front panel has a nice quality look about it, but it looks more tailored towards office work than gaming in terms of design and the chassis has a very professional vibe about it overall.
The front panel is as well equipped as you could hope, featuring all the usual buttons and lights, HD audio ports, 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0. There is a pre-installed 120mm fan behind the front panel also and if you look carefully you can see it shining through the ventilated mesh design.
The back of the chassis features a 120mm fan exhaust and there is a 120mm fan pre-installed, the mount is also compatible with 90mm and 80mm fans. There are seven expansion slots, each featuring a break-off cover which cannot be re-attacched once removed. There is some extra ventilation to the side of the expansion slots and finally we have a bottom mounted PSU area.
The top of the chassis features a large ventilation area fitted with an internal dust filter and 2 x 120mm fan mounts.
The underside of the chassis features four large feet that will help provide ground clearance for the PSU air intake. It’s worth pointing out here that the PSU is airfiltered, but for some strange reasons the filter is inside the chassis and under the PSU.
