A Closer Look – Nepton 140XL
First up we have the lovely Nepton 140XL and as you can see, it features a really robust looking (and feeling) radiator.
The radiator has been given double fan mounts so it can support either 120mm or 140mm fans on each side. There are 140mm included, but should you feel the need you can install your own fans, and if you’re chassis has enough clearance you may even get away with installing the 140mm radiator to a 120mm fan mount.
The pipe fittings have been finished with a very tight looking wrap, so the chances of springing a leak should be kept to a minimum. There is also a filler / drain cap here, but it comes with a sticker warning a warranty void if removed.
The pump is very nicely designed, a really clean looking cover over the top and a nice Cooler Master logo in the centre with a while back-lit trim around the edge of the logo.
The pump features the same high quality finish on the pipe fittings and these also come with a swivel mount to allow for optimum placement within your chassis.
The thick copper plate is screwed firmly to the block and comes with a nicely polished large surface that will more than over any chip it is mounted upon. There are two screw holes on the top and bottom edges for attaching your AMD / Intel brackets that were included in the box.
The fans can be installed tool free thanks to the high quality long thumb screws that were included in the box.
Both fans installed does make the whole thing quite chunky, but is does look pretty awesome too and the fan design does well to compliment the radiator.
